The list of funders before have either funded or listed interest in community growing, countryside and environmental projects.
Funders with An Application Form
The Garfield Weston Foundation
Funder supporting registered Charities and Schools in projects covering environment, community and learning
The Hedley Foundation
Provides grants of up to £5000 for projects run by registered Charities only to support the education, recreation, training, health and welfare of young people. No core costs, supports capital items.
Allen Lane Foundation
Registered charities or groups running a charitable project. Must have an annual income of less than £100,000 (for local groups) or £250,000 (for county wide, regional or national groups).
The trust will fund work which:
-Will make a lasting difference to people’s lives rather than simply alleviating the symptoms or current problems
-Is aimed at reducing isolation, stigma and discrimination, and
-Encourages or enables unpopular groups to share in the life of the whole community.
Awards 4 All
This is the smaller fund of the Big Lottery. Grants available for: not-for-profit groups. Community projects that will run for up to a year.
Size of grants given: £300 to £10,000
Biffa Land Fill Tax Funding
This funder is interested in supporting projects that improve the environmental, economic or social circumstances of a community. Your project needs to be within 10 miles of a Biffa operations. You can find out how near you are using their post code search facility on their website.
Size of grants given:
Small Grants £250 to £5000
No deadlines. Applications take 3 months to process.
Main grants Community or Biodiversity of £5,000 to £50,000 for projects that provide and improve community facilities or for projects that conserve wildlife species and habitats.
Foyle Foundation
To support smaller charities in the UK, especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities. The size of grants are from £1,000 - £10,000
The Gannett Foundation
Education and neighbourhood improvement, economic development, youth development, community problem solving, assistance for disadvantaged people, environmental conservation, cultural enrichment.
Size of grants given: £1000 to £5000
